Rooted in Faith. Driven by the Great Commission.
Our Mission, Our Story & Our Calling
Living Word Foundation exists to bring the Gospel to the unreached, equip indigenous leaders, and strengthen communities in Bangladesh and across the 10/40 Window. Our heart is to see lives transformed through faith, discipleship, and compassionate support.
About Our Mission
We are committed to reaching Unreached People Groups (UPGs) in Bangladesh by partnering with trusted local leaders who know the language, culture, and needs of their communities. Through evangelism, training, and project-based giving, we work to build sustainable ministry that continues long after we leave.
Our mission is simple: Share the Gospel. Equip the saints. Strengthen the church. Transform communities.

About Joshua Morton
Raised in a Southern Baptist church in North Carolina, I surrendered my life to the Lord at age ten during a revival service. Even at a young age, I sensed God’s call to ministry, though I didn’t yet understand what it would look like. Over the years, He gave me a passion and gifting to teach and preach the Gospel—sharing His message of hope and freedom from sin with friends, strangers, and anyone He placed in my path.
As I grew older, God deepened my heart for the nations through short-term mission trips to various countries. In 2012, during a mission trip to Bangladesh, I met Uttam, and the Lord formed a lifelong friendship and ministry partnership. God placed on Uttam’s heart the vision for Living Word Foundation, and in the years that followed, the ministry we shared in Bangladesh continued to grow through God’s calling and provision.
Today, by the grace of God, Living Word Foundation is also established in North America. Uttam and I remain committed to advancing the Gospel throughout Bangladesh and into future regions as the Lord opens doors.
We invite you to join us on this journey of grace, love, and reconciliation—to the glory of God the Father through Jesus Christ His Son.

About Uttam Sarkar
Raised in a home influenced by both Baptist and Catholic traditions, I grew up surrounded by faith—but for many years, it never reached my heart. I attended church and Christian activities, yet I felt empty and far from God.
At age 20, everything changed. During a small youth prayer gathering led by a visiting U.S. missionary, I heard the Gospel in a way that pierced my heart. That evening, as we prayed and worshiped together, I confessed my sins to Jesus Christ. I wept like a child, and for the first time I experienced His forgiveness, peace, and a renewed mind. From that moment in the year 2000, I committed my life to follow Him and serve His kingdom.
God opened doors for me to minister—teaching children, leading youth, showing the Jesus Film, reaching villages, and serving alongside missionaries. Over time, the Lord surrounded me with mentors and partners who helped shape the vision He placed in my heart.
Through prayer and the Lord’s leading, Living Word Ministry was born. Our mission is simple: to share the Gospel, disciple new believers, and serve communities in Jesus’ name. By God’s grace, we have planted a church in a predominantly Hindu village where more than 50 families now follow Christ, and we continue to bring the Gospel to unreached villages across Bangladesh.
We are committed to Jesus’ Great Commission (Matthew 28:18–20) and His call to love “the least of these” (Matthew 25:35–40). Our prayer is to see a church in every village of Bangladesh, shining the light of Christ to all people.
I invite you to join us in this mission—through your prayers, partnership, and support—as we work together to build the body of Christ. Amen.
