Last year, Living Word Foundation witnessed an extraordinary move of God in Khulna, Bangladesh. Partnering with Koylaghata Baptist Church, our team helped host a large Gospel program designed to reach people who had never heard the name of Jesus before. What unfolded became one of the most impactful ministry moments in the region.
A Church Filled Beyond Capacity
The event was held inside Koylaghata Baptist Church, and from the moment the doors opened, it became clear that the community was hungry to hear the Gospel. Nearly 325 Muslims and Hindus attended—many for the first time in their lives stepping into a Christian gathering.
Living Word Foundation supported the outreach by providing transportation and meals for every attendee, ensuring that nothing would prevent people from experiencing the Good News. By the time the meeting began, the church building was filled far beyond its normal capacity—an encouraging sign of what God was doing.
The Jesus Film and a Clear Gospel Message
As part of the program, the Jesus Film was shown in Bengali, allowing people to see and understand the life of Christ in their own language. After the film, Uttam and Josh preached a clear Gospel message, inviting listeners to respond in faith.
The result was overwhelming:
More than 250 people made professions of faith in Jesus.
For many, this was the first time they had ever heard about a Savior who loves them personally.
This single evening confirmed two things: the region is wide open to the Gospel, and the ministry work in Khulna is bearing fruit.
An Even Larger Outreach Planned for This Year
Because of the remarkable impact of last year’s program, the church and community leaders requested that the event be held again—but on a much larger scale. Living Word Foundation has committed to supporting this expanded effort.
This year’s outreach will be held outdoors, allowing thousands to gather. The setup will include:
- A full stage
- A professional sound system
- A large projection screen for showing the Jesus Film
- Space designed to accommodate unprecedented attendance
Local pastors expect more than 1,000 people to join—tripling last year’s turnout.
This will be the largest outreach ever hosted in Khulna, and we believe God is preparing hearts once again.
Equipping Believers Through Discipleship
In addition to the upcoming outreach, Living Word Foundation invested in strengthening the local believers. On November 7th, 2025, our team led a Discipleship Training Program in Khulna.
The goals were clear:
- Equip existing believers to share their faith confidently and faithfully.
- Spread awareness about the upcoming large outreach event, encouraging believers to invite friends, neighbors, and relatives who have never heard the Gospel.
The training was well received, and local Christians left encouraged, empowered, and ready to be part of the mission.
Momentum for the Gospel
The growth happening in Khulna reflects a powerful truth: when the Gospel is preached clearly and compassionately, people respond. The community’s eagerness to attend, learn, and return again—this time in even greater numbers—shows that the spiritual hunger in this region is real.
Living Word Foundation is committed to continuing this work, providing the resources, support, and encouragement needed to reach even more people with the hope of Jesus.
The harvest is plentiful, and what God began last year is only gaining momentum.
